Present Good is a philanthropic organization that sells holiday gifts to benefit the Buchanan Family Fund.
Olivia Buchanan was in her junior year at Montana State University, pursuing a degree in snow science with ardent ambition, when she was caught in an avalanche while skiing on Kendall Mountain in Silverton, Colorado in January 2015. In the wake of the tragedy, the Buchanan Family created a fund in Olivia’s name to provide snow science students at MSU the opportunity to pursue the work about which Olivia was so passionate.
One of Olivia's passions was rock climbing, and she was known to do so in a tutu, claiming that "It can't be too scary if you can do it wearing a tutu". The inspiration for Present Good's signature ballerina ornaments came from this statement.
The logo design was inspired by the representation of a tutu, the beautiful wild-ness of southwestern Colorado, and the adventurous spirit of an exceptional young woman who viewed many a sunset from atop those Silverton mountains.
